Just found and bought the app, really like the layout, and the features. I see that your under a lot of development and that is great. Just wonder if there are any plans to implement any of the following:
1) Landscape view 2) a way to limit file folder search so that certain folders don't appear 3) a way to manual input album art 4) support for google music offline (downloaded) tracks
Hi there, the landscape view will not be coming to this application. It is a pain to deal with device rotation changes and background images changing, and memory all at the same time. Currently, all the queries done in ZPlayer tries to select only "music" tracks, changing all queries to point to a folder would need a whole rewrite of all queries, which I can't invest time in.
Manual album art change is coming very soon. It was to be added with the current update, but missed it.
Google music is closed, and has no API's for me to use. So until Google music has a public API, Cloud based music would not be happening.
i love the app...just awesome ! the best out here...but i would like to see the lyrics as wel ..so any updates on that ?. download lyrics online and play it alongside the song..? the app would be complete if its done so.. cheers
Yes, the lyrics support is available, but the database of lyrics I am using is not very large, so only popular tracks currently have lyrics. I am still trying to get more data sources.
i don get the lyrics even for the most popular songs!...where do i enable the lyrics feature? and how do i see the lyrics..? can i use custom lyrics for songs that arent found in the database?
Hey, I appreciate the continuing great work on this app! But there's a terrible bug thats been ongoing. I can't pause/stop shoutcast radio stations once they've started to play! :(
I do not have any reports of this error. And it seems to function fine on more than 3 devices I have tested with. Can you provide me with more details. Thanks
it's a great app but in older versions the background image file was easy to find and change or edit, now they are located in other place and diferent file name, please please make it back like before

Tried disabling background images to see if the problem was related to that and still crashing. Have you got a fix/explanation for this?

Play store! I really don't understand why it does crash. On my dad's stock galaxy sII it's the same. Could it be that is something related to italian translation (added from version 3.2)? Anyway, now i'm using 3.1.7 and it's ok! If you don't know what the cause might be, i'll keep zplayer without upgrades.
zplayer 3.2.01 ---> "image changer" ?¿?¿?¿ where is it??? I cant find it!!! in older versions background images were stored in this path: mmc/sdcard/data/wp7p/bckgnds named like "30+seconds+to+mars" (named like the name of the artist)
now they are in: mmc/sdcard/data/zplayer/cache with a name like "1274749548.zpl"
why u changed that??? so when I upgraded it, backgnd images for each artist got lost in the app and I have a hughe list of artist in my library and i don't always have data connection. U made a very nice work with this upgrade but that's a -1 so please please hope you fix it very soon because zplayer is my top 1 android app
Hi there, the changes were made to better manage zplayer cached files. The option of manually editing zplayer cache files is a messy process, but I provided the option to change it from the application's now playing screen(data/wifi connection) required.
well just sayin the cache files were good before just where they are....thnks man AND just a idea I got....it would be great and so nice that the app have some "coverflow" in the home screen (in historu and new screens)
After 3.2 upgrade it shuts down when i turn on wifi. i'm using android 4.04 ver. it seems like it crashes when it downloads songs info and albums plz fix this...

Hello - How can I remove ghost genres? I uninstalled and reinstalled the apk but they are still there. I deleted all my music and reinstalled only one CD and there are a bunch of nonsense genres there that I want removed? Whats the path to find whats remembering these so I can delete them? Otherwise this is awesome!!!!!
Does zplayer work with external storage? Also, can it handle multiple external sources? Im using a Tohiba Thrive with a 128gb SDHC card plus I can add up to 3 more cards via the usb ports. So far I cant get the app to work properly. If it doesnt crash, the player will play some random tune instead of the selected one. Im currently using the demo. Would love to buy this app but so far the demo has been a bust. Can you help me. Thanks.
